Cheryl Inspires ("we," "us," "our") is a sole proprietorship owned and operated by Elizabeth Tate at 4691 South Street, Midland, Texas 79701, United States. We take your privacy seriously and try to keep this document in plain English. If anything below is unclear, please email feedback@cherylinspires.com.
1. Information we collect
We only collect information that we actually need to run the studio:
- Contact information you give us — your name and email address when you subscribe to the Sunday letter or send us a message; your postal address if you order a printed workbook or join our one-to-one letter program.
- Payment information — processed exclusively by our payment providers (Stripe and PayPal). We never see, store, or handle your full card number.
- Basic analytics — anonymized page views, referring website, country, device type, and rough session length. We use this to understand which letters people read, not to profile individuals.
- Cookies — small text files that remember your consent choices. See our Cookie Policy for details.
2. How we use it
- To send the weekly Sunday letter you subscribed to.
- To reply to messages you send through the contact form.
- To deliver workbooks, workshop links, and receipts you have purchased.
- To keep the website running, secure, and roughly measurable.
- To comply with tax, accounting and legal obligations in the United States.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. Ever. We do not send you marketing for anything other than Cheryl Inspires, and you can unsubscribe from any email with a single click.
3. Legal basis
We process your information based on your consent (when you sign up), the performance of a contract (when you buy a workbook or program), our legitimate interest in running a small business, and our legal obligations under U.S. state and federal law.
4. Sharing with service providers
We work with a small number of third parties who help us run the studio. They only receive the minimum information they need, and they are bound by their own privacy commitments:
- Stripe, Inc. — payments
- Buttondown — Sunday letter delivery
- Fastmail — customer email
- Bluehost — website hosting
- Cloudflare — security and performance
5. How long we keep it
Newsletter emails are kept for as long as you stay subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we suppress your address so you don't get re-added by accident, and we delete it entirely after 24 months. Order records are kept for 7 years for tax reasons, as required by the IRS. Contact-form messages are kept for 2 years, then deleted.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct anything that's wrong.
- Ask us to delete your information.
- Export your information in a portable format.
- Object to certain uses of your information.
- Withdraw consent at any time.
To exercise any of these, email feedback@cherylinspires.com. We aim to respond within seven business days.
7. Children
Cheryl Inspires is intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.
8. International visitors
The studio is operated from Texas, USA. If you visit our site from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., which may have different data-protection laws than your country.
9. Security
We use TLS on every page, keep our software patched, limit access to customer records to Elizabeth, and back up our systems weekly to encrypted storage. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps in line with U.S. small-business standards.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we'll update the date at the top of this page and — for material changes — send a note in the Sunday letter.
