Cookie Policy
Last updated: January 12, 2026
Cookies are small text files a website places in your browser to remember things between visits. Cheryl Inspires uses only a small number of them, and we try to be honest about what they do.
1. Strictly necessary
These are required for the Site to function and cannot be switched off:
ci_cookie_choice— remembers whether you've accepted or declined the cookie banner. Stored for 12 months.__cf_bm— set by Cloudflare to distinguish humans from automated visitors. Stored for 30 minutes.
2. Analytics (optional)
If you click "Accept," we load an anonymized analytics script that helps us see which letters are being read and where visitors come from. It does not track you across other websites.
_pk_id,_pk_ses— set by Plausible/Matomo-style analytics to remember an anonymous visitor across pages. Stored for up to 13 months.
3. Optional third-party embeds
Some journal entries embed a video from YouTube or a signup form from Buttondown. When you interact with those embeds, the provider may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy. We do not receive that data.
4. Turning cookies off
You can click "Decline" in our cookie banner to skip anything optional, and you can clear or block cookies in your browser at any time. Most browsers include an option to do this in Settings → Privacy. Turning off strictly necessary cookies may break parts of the Site.
5. Do Not Track
We honor the "Do Not Track" browser signal where technically possible.
